Lil Wayne is set to bring the legendary Hot Boys back together for a special performance at Lil’ WeezyAna Fest. The highly anticipated event, organized in collaboration with Live Nation Urban, will take place on November 2 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The festival, produced by Young Money, Dmani, and Live Nation Urban, will feature a reunion of Lil Wayne with his former Hot Boys groupmates Juvenile, B.G., and Turk. Fans can also expect performances from artists like Rob49 and Mannie Fresh, with additional acts set to be announced in the coming weeks.
Earlier this year, rumors circulated about a Hot Boys reunion at Essence Fest in June, sparking excitement among fans. However, Lil Wayne ultimately did not join his former bandmates on stage. Instead, he delivered a 20-minute solo performance following a set by Birdman, Mannie Fresh, Juvenile, and B.G.
Speculation about a new Hot Boys album also surfaced when Juvenile hinted that a project was in development, and Birdman expressed his desire for the group to reunite. Lil Wayne, however, denied any involvement in a new album, stating that he had not recorded any material for the rumored project.
This reunion marks a significant moment in hip-hop history, nearly 30 years after the Hot Boys first emerged on the music scene. “Lil Wayne is the essence of New Orleans, and Lil’ WeezyAna Fest is a celebration of the city’s rich and evolving music culture,” said Brandon Pankey, vice president of business development and operations at Live Nation Urban. “We are proud to support this incredible event and look forward to its continued success for years to come.”
Tickets for the festival will be available through a presale starting today at 10 a.m. PT, with general sales beginning on September 6 at 8 a.m. PT.
